• Are tester incentives/rewards included in the pricing?

  Yes, the cost-per-tester shown for our Recruit (pay-as-you-go) plan already includes incentives that we pay out to testers to provide quality feedback. There are no additional per-tester costs for you.

• Should I choose the Recruit or Professional plan?

  The Recruit plan is designed for companies with infrequent testing needs that value the flexibility of paying per tester for on-demand tests.

  The Professional plan is built for companies that have ongoing testing needs or large/complex one-time projects. The Professional plan typically requires a budget of $1 - $10K per month, but is designed to help you save money on large tests or ongoing testing. The Professional plan is built for:

  • Lower cost per tester (save up to 50% per tester) for bigger contracts
  • Companies that want professional services or help designing and executing tests.
  • Required for Fintech or any product that requires sensitive personal or financial data
  • Companies that require platform customizations (branding, custom fields, etc)
• How can I be sure BetaTesting can recruit my target audience?

  We have a large panel of 400,000+ participants globally, with about half in the US. We have hundreds of available targeting criteria and can easily recruit for most target audience segments within hours or days. When defining your targeting requirements in our tool, we provide estimates on the number of participants available that meet your criteria and may be interested in your test.

  The best way to see if we can successfully recruit your audience is to launch a test. For any test, you have the option to manually review and approve applicants if needed, to ensure they meet your criteria. Also, you only pay for testers at the end of the test process, after reviewing results, with no payments up-front. So, there's no risk to get started!

  If you have a niche audience and you don't have success recruiting testers using our Recruit plan, we suggest getting in touch to get a quote for our Professional plan. With this plan, you can offer custom incentives, so you could offer a higher reward for participation which should help with recruiting.

• What happens if someone doesn't finish my test?

  You only pay for participants that finish your test with quality feedback. At the end of the test, you have the opportunity to manually review and approve each tester. We only charge your card at the end of the test, based on the number of testers that successfully finish, so there's no risk.

• Are there any additional service fees?

  Our pay-as-you-go Recruit plan does not include any additional service fees. The price you see per-tester is all-inclusive. For customers in the Professional plan with our "custom incentives" feature (which allows customers to save up to 50% per tester), there is typically a small service fee per test.

• When do we pay?

  We charge your credit card upon completion of each test based on the testers that finish your test. You never pay for testers that don't finish your test, and you have the opportunity to review and approve testers for completion.

  For large tests, we may require payment for 50% of your test in advance. In that case, we will get in touch after reviewing your test submission and provide an invoice that you can pay via credit card or ACH/bank transfer.

• Can we cancel anytime?

  Yes, our Recruit plan has no commitment or obligations. Our Professional plan includes custom terms, and your commitment and cancellation terms will depend on your quote/contract.

• Can you send an invoice?

  For large invoices we can bill by invoice rather than by credit card. With any plan, receipts for your paid invoices (for example, for subscription fees or incentive costs) are always available at any time through our platform.

• Who are the participants?

  Our community is made of 400,000+ real world consumers and professionals from all over the world. More than 50% are from the United States, with other large populations in Canada, UK, Australia, Europe, and throughout the rest of the world.

  The vast majority of our audience have signed up organically through referrals from friends and colleagues. Most users are excited about the idea of playing a small role in helping to improve and build the best new products of tomorrow. They span every demographic, lifestyle, and interest group, and we provide a wide variety of targeting criteria so you can reach your target audience.

• How do you ensure participants are high quality?

  We built BetaTesting to raise the bar for tester and feedback quality. Our platform is designed with quality in mind from start to finish.

  We maintain a high quality pool of participants by constantly vetting and rating users based on their participation. This includes AI analysis of feedback and automated scoring per-tester, in addition to manual ratings from our customers and customer success team.

  During the recruiting phase, we don't immediately post your test publicly so the first person that clicks can join. Instead, we have a proprietary invite process that sends private invites to quality participants that best match your target audience. This allows us to better control quality and ensure the best users get access to participate in your test.
