When creating your test on BetaTesting, you will receive instructions to create a Web Hook within Instabug that will send your bug report details to BetaTesting.

By integrating Instabug and BetaTesting, you can quickly recruit beta testers for thorough bug testing and user experience feedback. You can choose between an Instant Bug Test and get results within hours, or run an in-depth beta test for 1 week or more.

The Instant Bug Test allows you to recruit real-world bug testers to test your app and generate bug reports and feedback within hours. Your test can be Exploratory (users explore the app on their own to discover and report bugs on their own), Functional (driven by formal tasks and test-cases) or a mix thereof.

Our Beta Testing service provides for a more in-depth test process with 1-week test iterations. Users can test your app more organically over the course of 1-week or longer. This allows you to get more realistic and meaningful feedback. You can also design more unique and custom test processes (e.g. read the news each morning, interact with other users, play a multiplayer game at the same time, etc).

Yes, you can design your own set of tasks, questions, and formal test cases.

No, if you’d like, you can use our Exploratory Bug Testing template which requires absolutely zero setup of the test design process. Users will explore your app on their own to discover and report bugs they encounter.

For the Instant Bug Test, you’ll receive targeted testers, real engagement, formal bug reports through Instabug, and feedback survey completions through BetaTesting.

Beta testing: Targeted tester recruiting, bug reporting, multiple feedback surveys during the week. With our Beta Testing service, we’ll recruit targeted testers, and you’ll get quality engagement, feedback, and bug reports as users follow any tasks that you have defined. You can create multiple sets of tasks and feedback surveys to be distributed during the test. You can also interact and communicate with participants during the test.

With our Instant Bug Test, once we start the test, we’ll begin to recruit users immediately you’ll get bug reports and completed surveys as fast as 1 hour. Usually the entire test is completed within several hours.

Note that your company must be approved for self service test submission. We will manually review your company’s first several tests, which can take 3-24 hours. Once you have a clear understanding of how to design bug tests using our tool, we’ll activate your account for completely self-service submissions.

At the launch of the Instant Bug Test, we’re allowing for some customization of operating system versions and device types (e.g. Most popular, older phones, etc). Shortly, we’ll be launching the ability for full customization of the operating system versions, device manufacturers, device models, and more. What’s better, these are not lab-based devices or even cloud devices. These are real world users that own and use these devices every day.
